About Us
Walton PR was founded in 1998 by Emma Walton from the corner of a dining room in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. Walton PR is a consultancy that specialises in small to medium sized businesses and start up's who require a personal approach to the promotion of their business.
Walton PR delivers effective and accountable PR, tailor made to suit a companies' requirements and budgets. The company is now based in Bourton-on-the-Water.
Emma Walton

Emma has been working in PR for over 20 years, starting in London before moving to the Cotswolds. Driven by the desire to be her own boss she set up Walton PR having been offered PR and Marketing work whilst working in a pub. (Her pub skills were not a patch on her ability to communicate). PR has now become a passion and Emma works hard to dispel the rumours that PR is all shoulder pads and hairspray. A keen sailor when she gets the chance, and lover of good food and wine. Time outside work is spent walking the dog and trying to be a good mother!
Who we work with
As a local consultancy we sometimes have to pull in skills from other areas to help us put together the best service for our clients. Here is a list of those that we work with and who we would have no hesitation in recommending to our clients and contacts.
Merry Marketing:
Kim O’Rourke specialises in helping professional business owners who have a vision for their business, but don’t really know how to take their business as it is now to that business of their future. She does this by aligning their marketing strategy, their niche and marketing plan with their business vision, as well as their personal passions, values and goals. The result is a well lit road, built on solid foundations that the business owner can follow, confident that it will lead them to where they want to go.

Why the flamingo?
I was told I needed a rebrand... but where to start? I wanted a symbol, something fun (PR is fun!) and lively, lots of colour and that said something about me. My designer told me to stop fretting and that he would deal with it – two days later a very colour flamingo arrived in my inbox – he said it reminded him of me. I loved it but then felt I need to know why, should anyone ask me (which lots of people have since!) did I choose the Flamingo.
Enter Caroline and Cath – two of my greatest girlfriends – and some wine! Left to our own devices in the kitchen on a Friday night we cracked it! Simple – if you look up the definition of a flamingo it tells you about a bird that is very colourful, gregarious, bold, resourceful, organised – by standing on one leg for much of the time they are resting half of their bodies – and can be counted upon. So, it was agreed that was a fairly apt description of me.
